If you are looking for an original idea to spend a few days this spring, then come and experience the Alhambra and the magical landscapes of Sierra Nevada. Three nights' stay in the delightful atmosphere of our hotel with a walking excursion in the mid-mountain area of Sierra Nevada and other countryside locations around Granada. A guided tour of the Alhambra Palaces is also included, of course.

Travelling with children
If you bring just one child with you, a supplement of 49 euros per night (VAT included) will be applied. Subject to availability of triple room.
If you bring two children we will provide an additional room and the same programme for a supplement of 99 euros per night (VAT included).
Travel programme
Day 1
Arrival and warm welcome at hotel "El Ladrón de Agua". Visit to Alhambra and Generalife.
Day 2
Guided outing to Los Cahorros (3 hours walking, intermediate level, total outing time, 6 hours), one of the most spectacular locations around Granada, in the mid-mountain area of the Sierra Nevada Nature Reserve.
It is a stunning gorge, 8 km from Granada, with vertical walls, stone tunnels and waterfalls. We cross over its famous old bridge and continue along its natural tunnel, Las Palomas Cave, and then follow a trail that opens out until Las Chorreras spring.
To get our strength back, enjoy the countryside further and exchange impressions, we will organise a delicious picnic en route. Optional evening activity: flamenco show or tapas route.
Day 3
This day is available to visit the city of Granada or the Alhambra if there was not time on the first day. There is also another optional excursion available:
Guided Valparaíso Route (3 hours walking, easy. The Alhambra with Sierra Nevada as backdrop; total time, 5-6 hours, price: 45 euros per person -minimum 4 persons- including picnic). Setting out from the hotel on foot we will enjoy a delightful walk following the Alhambra's Acequia Real (Royal Irrigation Channel). We walk beneath the Generalife (Alhambra AUTUMN palace) with spectacular views of the ancient Albaicin and Sacromonte neighbourhoods. En route we will enjoy a Spanish picnic, of course with “tortilla". After crossing the Darro river, we will return to Granada on a different trail, and walk the length of the Sacromonte, with its historic cave-houses. We can visit the cultural centre where you can have a look into some historical caves and the way of living in that time. At the end we can take a stroll through the winding white-walled streets of the Albaicín to have the magnificent view of the Alhambra from Mirador de San Nicolás to finally return to the hotel.

Breakfast and return.
