The Alpujarra region is a miracle where altitude meets the sea. It is the beneficial slow pace of men and their works. The Alpujarra is myth and offering. Above all, however, the Alpujarra is a Mountain Garden. South from Granada, in Yegen, Alpujarra, Maria José and Pedro Garciarias cultivate one of these. The garden, in turn, cultivates Pedro in a unique fashion, tuning him as a poet tunes his verse. Both Pedro and his mountain garden bring to El ladrón de Agua his most recent works of paper and dreams, carefully collected over the course of last autumn.
